The Safe Trails Coalition
The Safe Trails Coalition is a community group set-up to advocate and coordinate the establishment of shared use pathways in Gallatin County. Our initial effort is a Bozeman to Belgrade Trail.

Currently, we are concentrating our efforts on the proposed I-90 Airport Interchange south to the regional park. We are focusing on this area because of the proposed road projects that will accompany the interchange project.

Please note, we have no intention of forcing a trail on anyone's land. We hope to be included in road right-of-way as it is developed, or with a developer's plans if a parcel of land is to be developed.

The trail follows the dark red line.

We want to see a seperated, shared-use pathway extend south from the interchange (SE of Belgrade) along Alaska Frontage Road to E. Cameron Bridge Road, where it will turn east to Harper Puckett and then south again to Valley Center. It will cross Valley Center and follow Harper Puckett down to Baxter where it will turn east to the regional park (green).

Please feel free to add your suggestions for alternatives or for new routes.

We hope to add other group's plans here.

Safe Routes to School, Parks & Rec., GVLT, Open Space, Bike Board, Park Commissioners - send us your plans or project updates to be included here.

Let us know if there are any events or updates you would like to share with fellow citizens.
